Repealing California’s law limiting rent control legislation died its second death in Sacramento in as many years earlier this month.
But the issue remains alive with the possibility of a ballot measure enabling the expansion of rent control policies in the November election.
The merits of rent control as one of the tools to address the state’s housing crisis were debated Tuesday at the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s “Housing in Silicon Valley” breakfast event, part of our year-long series called The Housing Factor.
